What can it do?

The Special Purpose Function Generator is capable of outputting a sinusoidal waveform at two specific frequencies:

 - 5.1kHz

 - 8.7kHz

What's inside?

  • CN6009 Boost Converter

  • ICL8038 Precision Waveform Generator/Voltage Controlled Oscillator

  • LM386 Low Voltage Audio Power Amplifier

Why?

My design is based on an old (poorly designed) circuit that I was able to improve, thus making it more efficient and function properly. Because the circuit was outdated, it required the use of the ICL8038, which is no longer in production.
